Those of you who have known me for a long time, know that over 2 years ago, one of my best friends unexpectedly lost her son at 15 months. Brandon was a sweet and loving toddler. He was my son's best friend.
This past June, my family finally had a chance to travel back to CA to visit with our friends and meet the newest members of their family. J is almost 2 years old now and little Miss M was just 6 months when these pictures were taken. The loss of Brandon was devastating to his parents, his family and to us. Soon after his passing, we moved to NC as we already had plans to do so. It was very difficult to leave during that time. I was so happy to be able to see them again - living their lives, loving their babies, and actually smiling and laughing. Brandon was missed dearly during this trip. We kept wondering what the boys would've been like if they were together. Unfortunately, we will never know and that continues to make me sad.
My friends are very strong individuals whom I admire deeply. They have been down such a long road. I wish nothing but joy and happiness for them in the future. These two sweeties are so lucky to have them as their parents.
